竹有君子之喻，研山先生好之，有编撰竹谱之意，虽未成之，笔下仍屡有状其形貌。以墨竹较多，偶写朱竹，惟出诸双钩法，敷色苍翠，则极稀矣。

本幅未署年，按画集定为一九五二年所作。是时用功于元人画法甚深，但若考北京故宫博物院所藏明正统年间金湜之〈双钩竹图〉，本幅构图、笔法皆类近，可知取法所自。"Bamboo has the metaphor of a gentleman, Mr. Yan shan good, there is the intention of compiling bamboo, although it has not been written, there are still its appearance. With more ink bamboo, I write zhu zhu, but out of the hook law, apply the color green, it is extremely rare.
This painting was painted in 1952 and is not dated. Therefore, I worked hard in the yuan people's painting method, but if I take an examination of jin shi's "double-hook bamboo picture >" in the Ming and orthodox period of the Beijing imperial Palace Museum of natural history, this picture composition and writing method are close to each other.
